Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) are interrelated engineering disciplines concerned with the reduction of unwanted noise, vibration, and harshness in mechanical and electrical systems.

NVH encompasses a range of techniques for measuring, analyzing, and controlling the acoustic and vibrational characteristics of machines, vehicles, and structures. The goal of NVH engineering is to minimize the impact of unwanted noise and vibration on human comfort, performance, and safety.

Condition-based monitoring (CBM) is a proactive maintenance strategy that involves monitoring the health and performance of a system, machine, or component to determine the need for maintenance or repair.
