2023 IEEE Smart World Congress
Website link: https://ieee-smart-world-congress.org/ 25th-28th August, 2023 Portsmouth, UK ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Introduction ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The smart world is set to enhance everyday things with abilities of sensation, communication, computation and intelligence so that many tasks and processes could be simplified, efficient, and productive. It consists of numerous “smart things” that can be endowed with different levels/forms of computational intelligence and even capable of thinking. Research on smart world is an emerging research field covering many areas, essential problems, and crucial issues in truly building the smart world that benefits humanity, and simultaneously safeguards the natural environment for sustainable development and evolution. The IEEE Smart World Congress originated from the 2005 Workshop on Ubiquitous Smart Worlds (USW, Taipei) and the 2005 Symposium on Ubiquitous Intelligence and Smart World (UISW, Nagasaki). SmartWorld 2023 in Portsmouth is the continuation after SmartWorld 2022 in Haikou, the successful SmartWorld 2021 in Atlanta, SmartWorld 2020 in Melbourne, SmartWorld 2019 in Leicester, SmartWorld 2018 in Guangzhou, SmartWorld 2017 in San Francisco, SmartWorld 2016 in Toulouse, and SmartWorld 2015 in Beijing. IEEE SmartWorld 2023 aims to provide a high-profile, leading-edge platform for researchers and engineers to exchange and explore the state-of-the-art advances and innovations in graceful integrations of Cyber, Physical and Social Worlds with Ubiquitous Intelligence. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Topics ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Smart Sensing, Processing and Service Smart Computing and Communication Smart System Monitoring/Management Smart Internet of Things Smart Industry and Manufacture Smart Agriculture and Aquaculture Smart Materials and Fabric Smart Environment and Ecosystems Smart Earth/Space System Smart Grid and Energy Smart Logistics and Retail Smart Building and Structure Smart Roads and Transportation Smart Vehicles and Control Smart Machines and Robots Smart Home and Furniture Smart Appliances and Goods Smart Wearables and Implants Smart Medicine and Healthcare Smart Elderly/Kiddy Care Smart Foods and Living Smart Learning and Education ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsor: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IEEE Advancing Technology for Humanity IEEE Computational Intelligence Society University of Portsmouth ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Co-Located Six Conferences: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 20th IEEE Int’l Conf. on Ubiquitous Intelligence and Computing(UIC2023) The 20th IEEE Int’l Conf. on Advanced and Trusted Computing (ATC 2023) The 23rd IEEE Int’l Conf. on Scalable Computing and Communications (ScalCom 2023) 2023 IEEE Int’l Conf. on Digital Twin (Digital Twin 2023) 2023 IEEE Int’l Conf. on Privacy Computing (PriComp 2023) 2023 IEEE Int’l Conf. on Metaverse (Metaverse 2023) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Call for regular/short papers ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submission Guidelines: Authors are requested to submit original, unpublished manuscripts in standard IEEE proceedings format in PDF. In addition to full- length regular papers, SmartWorld welcomes Work-in-Progress (WiP) papers showing innovative and original research in the areas of smart world. Submissions from both industry and academia are strongly encouraged. WiP papers are expected to report on early or ongoing research activities. The WiP session will provide a forum to discuss novel ideas and emerging results, presenting innovative applications and tools, and bring about novel research questions, approaches, and directions. Submission Guidelines: WiP papers should be no more than 4 pages in length, or at most 2 additional pages with the page’s over-length charge, including figures, tables, and references. Authors are requested to submit original, unpublished manuscripts in standard IEEE proceedings format in PDF. All submissions must be typeset in double-column IEEE format, with all fonts embedded.
