Digital Enhanced Learning (DEL) refers to the use of a variety of digital technologies to support learning beyond what was possible through non-digital means. Applied to learning language, DEL focuses on technology as a means to an end, not an end in itself. Digital technology has transformed the way we learn languages (in and out of class) and provided new opportunities for multimodal learning design and teaching practice. The pandemic helped to highlight the need to reshape the typical classroom dynamics, with students more actively involved in their own learning and teachers adopting a more mediating role. Learner-centered teaching strategies assume a central role for the development of 21st century key competencies.
This conference focuses on advances and emerging trends in Digital Enhanced Language Teaching (DELT). We invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners to share scholarly interests and professional insights into the use of technology in second and foreign language teaching and learning. This Conference is an excellent opportunity for the presentation of innovative research projects that combine Language Learning and Teaching with ICT.
