SEKE 2023 : The 35th International Conference on Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering
Conference Series : Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering
Call For Papers
The Thirty Fifth International Conference on Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering (SEKE23) will be held both as a live conference at a major hotel in San Francisco Bay, USA and as a virtual conference at the KSIR Virtual Conference Center, USA, from July 1 to July 10, 2023.
The conference aims at bringing together experts in software engineering and knowledge engineering to discuss on relevant results in either software engineering or knowledge engineering or both. Special emphasis will be put on the transference of methods between both domains. The themes this year are (a) quantum computing and software engineering & knowledge engineering, and (b) SEKE education.
Special Theme on SEKE Education:
The theme on SEKE education can be interpreted more narrowly as how to teach software engineering and knowledge engineering courses more effectively during the time of the pandemic. It can also be interpreted it more broadly as how to teach ANY course more effectively using software engineering and knowledge engineering ways of thinking, methodology and techniques/tools. Papers are invited on SEKE education to deal with philosophical, methodological and instructional and tools, including innovative solutions and experimental results.
Special Issue of IJSEKE journal:
Best ranked papers from the conference will be selected for a super-sized special issue of the International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering (IJSEKE) to be published in November/December 2023 for early dissemination.
Special Session proposals are welcome. The deadline is December 1, 2022. Each special session may lead to a special issue in IJSEKE.
The Int'l DMS Conference on Visualization and Visual Languages DMSVIVA23 (ksiresearch.org/seke/dmsviva23.html) will be held both as a live conference and as a virtual conference from June 29 to June 30, 2023. Authors are welcome to contribute papers and attend both conferences.
Information for authors:
Papers must be written in English. An electronic version (Postscript, PDF, or MS Word format) of the full paper should be submitted after December 1, 2022 using the following URL:
Manuscript must include a 200-word abstract and no more than 6 pages of double column text (include figures and references).
All submissions must not be published or under consideration for publication in a journal or in a conference with proceedings. Papers will be evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness and clarify of exposition. Depending upon the results of evaluation a paper may be accepted as regular paper (6 pages), short paper (4 pages) or research notes (1 page, poster presentation and/or demo only).
