Call For Papers

The 14th edition of the Cognition, Brain and Technology Summer School– DCBT will be hosted by the Donders center of Neuroscienceat at Radboud University in Nijmegen, from September 5 until September 16. This edition is organized in collaboration with several European projects, including the European School of Network Neuroscience euSNN, iNavigate, NeuroTechEU and the Human Brain Project.
DCBT is positioned at the interface between biology and future emerging technologies, emphasising the principles underlying brains and their translation to avant-garde technologies. The school has run with great success for the last years thanks to the Convergent Science Network of Biomimetics and Neurotechnology (http://csnetwork.eu/) and to an excellent line-up of outstanding speakers, including Nobel Laureate Edvard Moser and luminaries in the fields of neurosciences, psychology, biology, robotics, and AI, such as Michael Arbib, Stenn Grillner, Giacomo Rizzolatti, among many.
The format of the school is a combination of in-depth lectures, student tutorials and projects, road-mapping workshops and discussions. The last day of the school is reserved for the presentation of the students’ projects, to which everybody is invited.
This year, the school moved from Barcelona to the beautiful city of Nijmegen, in the Netherlands. The school will be hosted by the Donders Center of Neuroscience at the Radboud University. More specifically, the school will take place at Fletcher Landgoed Hotel Holthurnsche Hof. The program of the school can be found at https://bcbt.specs-lab.com/bcbt22/.
In order to get an impression of the school, previous lectures and the school podcast interviews (conducted by Paul Verschure and Tony Prescott) with the school’s speakers are available online at https://www.youtube.com/user/ConvergentScienceNw/playlists and http://csnetwork.eu/talks/podcast
