The Fifth Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology (PSIVT 2011) will be held in Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), South Korea on 20-23 November 2010.

PSIVT is an annual international symposium for image and video technology, and it provides a forum for researchers, artists, developers, educators, performers, and practitioners in the Pacific Rim and around the world to present the latest development in theories and practices as well as artistic and consumer innovations of image and video technology.

High-quality contributions from prospective authors are solicited in all aspects of image and video technology including, but not limited to:

•Image/Video Coding and Transmission

•Image/Video Processing and Analysis

•Biometrics and Image Forensics

•Imaging and Graphics Hardware and Visualization

•Image/Video Retrieval and Scene Understanding

•Biomedical Image Processing and Analysis

•Computer Vision Applications
