ARTis ON n. 13 (2022)

Editor: Joana Balsa de Pinho

After seven years of existence and 11 edited numbers, the regular issue of ARTis ON, to be published in 2022, will constitute, for the first time, a non-thematic one. The aim is to measure current research trends in the disciplinary fields of art history, cultural heritage sciences and art markets, both nationally and internationally. Likewise, we wish to take the pulse of the potential of this kind of editorial approach.
Proposals must engage with relevant topics related to the scientific scope of the journal, including a theoretical, methodological and historiographical reflection, and focus on any geographical or chronological context.

Texts can be presented in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French or Italian and submitted to the main section of the journal, but also to Varia, this one intended for research notes, reviews, news arising from research projects or interviews. The characteristics of the texts can be checked here:

We invite academics, students, heritage technicians and other interested parties to send their contributions until May 31, 2022. Submission conditions and rules are available here:

All materials should be sent to the following email addresses: and

Until June 30, 2022, the results of the peer review process will be communicated and until July 15, the revised and final versions of the texts should be received.

ARTis ON is an annual scientific journal, published in digital format and with peer-review. It is indexed in DOAJ, ERIH PLUS, CROSSREF, LATINDEX, CAPES, DRJI, MIAR, EBSCO and REDIB.
