Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
The 13th ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics (ACM-BCB) is the flagship conference of the ACM SIGBio. The 2022 ACM-BCB conference is the premier conference that is dedicated to promoting No-Boundary Thinking to address science challenges with broad participation and frontier research linking computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics, statistics, biology, medicine, bioinformatics, and biomedical and health informatics.
Above all, this conference focuses on the grand challenges for life science, bioscience and human health by showcasing leading-edge research on new technologies, methods, and tools around the processing, integration, analysis, mining, retrieval, interpretation, and presentation of data and determine how to transform data into meaningful information and actionable knowledge, with the aim of defining problems as well as solving problems in life science, biomedical discovery, public and population health, disease prevention, and healthcare delivery. The 2022 ACM-BCB Conference welcomes original submissions that have not been published and are not presently under review. Accepted papers will be published in the 2022 ACM-BCB Conference Proceedings and appear in the ACM Digital Library (note that ACM copyright permissions are directly compatible with those of the NIH and are similar to open-access journal policies). A subset of selected papers will be invited for publication in a special issue of the IEEE/ACM Transaction on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (TCBB), or in a special issue of the IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics (J-BHI). In addition, there is a separate Highlights track for authors who wish to present platform talks for papers that have recently appeared in refereed journals; see the ACM-BCB conference website for more information. Submitted manuscripts should comply with the requirements delineated on the ACM Master Article Template website. ACM-BCB's technical program committee will review and assess all submissions on the basis of their originality, technical soundness, significance, presentation, and relevance to conference attendees. In order to submit their manuscripts, authors should use the EasyChair. All submissions will be peer-reviewed in a single-blind review process by program committee members. At the time of submission, the author list should be final. Any subsequent changes to the author list post-submission must be approved by the program chairs. Examples of relevant topics include, but are not limited to, the following: Sequence Analysis Genomic Variation and Disease Haplotypes and Population Genomics Phylogenetics Protein and RNA Analysis, Structure, and Dynamics Metagenomics and Algorithms for Microbiomes Single cell sequencing Cancer Genomics Pharmacogenomics Systems Biology Multimodality modeling Biological Networks and Integrative Analysis Computational Drug Discovery Biological Modeling Imaging Informatics Imaging Genomics and Radiation Genomics Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text mining Data Integration, Harmonization, and Ontology Computational Phenotyping Machine Learning and Predictive Modeling Automated Diagnosis and Prediction Clinical Databases and Information Systems Data Security and Privacy Knowledge Representation Applications Biomedical and Health Data Visualization Public Health and Population Health Informatic Infectious Disease Networks and Computational Epidemiology Social Network Analysis for Health Applications No-Boundary Thinking in Bioinformatics Important Dates: (all submissions close 11:59pm Anywhere On Earth [AOE]) Paper submissions due: April 15, 2022 Notifications sent to authors: May 29, 2022 Camera-ready papers due: June 15, 2022 |
