Call For Papers

Decision Making is a common task related to intelligent and complex activities in which human beings face situations where they must choose among different alternatives by means of reasoning and mental processes. Such decision situations usually involve different types of uncertainty according to their nature.

Dealing with uncertainty in real life has been a long-term challenging task, and different methodologies and theories have been proposed in the literature to deal with it. Lotfi Zadeh (1965) introduced the concept of fuzzy sets that model uncertainty. In spite of youth of this theory, it has attracted the attention of leading researchers to the study of analysis of multiple operations and properties and it has been used to solve problems in different fields such as decision making.

This special session plans to focus on the recent advances in theory of fuzzy sets and its application on decision making providing an opportunity for researchers working in these areas to discuss and share new ideas and results. We expect contributions in the use of fuzzy sets in decision-making.

Potential topics (but not limited) included in this special issue are the following
ones:
•Fuzzy sets foundation and recent advances
•Topological and Algebraic Structures in Fuzzy Sets.
•Aggregation operators for fuzzy sets
•Fuzzy Topology
•Fuzzy Metrics
•Multicriteria and group decision making methods dealing with fuzzy sets
•Handling incomplete information
•Dealing with fuzzy sets in applications such as engineering evaluation, recommender systems, sensory evaluation.
•Information fusion

HOW TO SUBMIT:
All submissions to the special issue must be made electronically at www.editorialmanager.com/taa/default.aspx and will undergo the standard peer-review process (single-blind, at least two independent reviewers).

Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published before and is not under consideration for publication anywhere else.

We are looking forward to your submission!
