2nd International Workshop on Data Mining with Graphs and Matrices in conjunction with the 22nd DEXA Conference, August 29 - September 2, 2011 Toulouse, France The International Workshop on Data Mining with Graphs and Matrices (WDGM’11) will provide a platform for researchers to explore cutting-edge ideas, techniques and results involving data mining with graphs and matrices. To be held in conjunction with the 22nd International Conference on Database and Expert Systems Applications (DEXA 2011), we invite original research contributions and industrial papers from varied domains. The scope of WDGM will be broad and will encompass diverse topics. The relevant topics include theoretical foundations of data mining using graphs and matrices with applications including but not limited to the following areas: • Social networks • Preparing data for web mining • Genomics and bioinformatics • Mining Web data • Information retrieval • Multimedia data mining • Business intelligence • Medical data • Visual analytics Important Dates Submission of Full Papers: March 31, 2011 Notification of Acceptance: April 26, 2011 Camera-ready Copies and Registration of Participation: May 23, 2011 Workshop: Between August 29 and September 2, 2011 Submission Procedure Papers should be submitted in PDF format, with maximum length five (5) pages, following IEEE Conference Publishing Service (CPS) guidelines. Please submit your papers using ConfDriver Conference Management System. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to attend the workshop and present the paper. Papers accepted for presentation will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press as proceedings of the DEXA 2011 workshops.
