==================================================

The ACM Southeast (ACMSE) conference is the oldest, continuously running, annual conference of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). ACMSE provides an excellent forum for students, faculty, researchers, and industry practitioners to present their research in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere in all areas of computer science.

ACMSE 2022 is organized by the Mathematical, Computing, & Information Sciences Department (MCIS Department) at Jacksonville State University (JSU), Jacksonville, Alabama. It will be held on April 18-20, 2022, at the Oxford Civic Center, in Oxford, Alabama. The conference will host many events, including paper presentations, poster presentations, tutorials/workshops, keynote speeches, and industrial practitioner displays.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Students, faculty, researchers, and scientists are invited to submit high-quality original technical manuscripts to ACMSE 2022. Three tracks are available: full papers, short papers, and abstracts. Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The peer-review process will be “double-blind” where manuscripts shall be submitted, lacking author(s) names and affiliations. All accepted and presented articles at ACMSE 2022 will be published in the conference proceedings and the ACM Digital Library (ISBN: 978-1-4503-8697-5). At least one author of every accepted manuscript must register to attend the conference and present his/her article. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the conference proceedings and the ACM Digital Library.

Full Papers: From 6 to 8 single-spaced pages in length. An acceptance rate of approximately 35% is anticipated for the Full Paper category. Awards for the best full papers will be presented. Accepted and presented full papers will be published in the proceedings and the ACM Digital Library.

Short Papers: From 4 to 5 single-spaced pages in length. The acceptance rate is targeted at 45% for this category. Awards for the best short papers will be presented. Accepted and presented short papers will be published in the proceedings and the ACM Digital Library.

Abstracts: From 2 to 3 single-spaced pages in length. The Fast Abstract symposium seeks to bring together students, faculty, and researchers working in computer software and applications, and related fields. A fast abstract is a lightly reviewed article that may be presenting new ideas, work in progress, or opinions that address any issue relevant to computer software and applications. We also welcome contributions that may have thought-provoking ideas based on theory, application, or development experience, and may have initial or proof of concept results. The presenter will have the opportunity to discuss his/her research idea, methodology, and results with other peer researchers and receive useful guidance and feedback to refine his/her ideas or towards the completion of the research. Acceptance rate target is 55%. Awards for the best abstract will be presented. Accepted and presented abstracts will be published in the proceedings and the ACM Digital Library.

Scope:
ACMSE 2022 invites prospective authors to submit their original technical work with significant research contributions on any aspects of computer science, software engineering, information systems, and information technology. Both experimental results, as well as formal investigations, are equally welcome.

To submit a manuscript for evaluation at ACMSE 2022, use the EasyChair system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acmse2022). Remember that the process of evaluation is “double-blind”, and submitted manuscripts shall lack author(s) names and affiliations. You will be asked to select a track/category during the submission (full papers, short papers, or abstracts). Be sure you submit your manuscript to the right track. Submitted articles should be well formatted and use proper English grammar and punctuation.

Manuscript Formats:
Manuscripts (.PDF format) must follow the mandatory template provided by the ACMSE 2022 conference. You can read the instructions and find the LaTeX template in http://acmse.net/2022/papers-format.

Important Dates for Papers:
Deadline for Submission of Manuscripts: November 27, 2021

CALL FOR TUTORIALS/WORKSHOPS
ACMSE 2022 will feature tutorials and workshops addressing fundamental, advanced, and emerging topics in computing and related fields. Tutorial and workshop proposals should be submitted through the EasyChair system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acmse2022), no later than the due date for submission of proposals. Proposals should not exceed three pages, 11-point font, single-spaced. A tutorial or workshop proposal should include: title, presenter/organizer name and affiliation, abstract, keywords, covered topics, prerequisites for participants, intended audience, duration (1.5 to 3 hours), resources needed (including lab space), and a short biography of the presenter/organizer. The proposal will be evaluated by the organizing committee and an acceptance decision will be sent to the proposers.

Important Dates for Tutorials/Workshops:
Deadline for Submission of Proposals: December 5, 2021
Notification of Acceptance: December 11, 2021

CALL FOR POSTERS
Students, faculty, researchers, and scientists are invited to submit posters to ACMSE 2022. Authors should submit a one or two-page extended abstract in PDF format (single-spaced). The scope for posters includes all aspects of computer science, software engineering, information systems, and information technology. Posters can cover preliminary or exploratory work, smaller research projects, projects that are showing promising results but are not quite ready for a full publication, or any other work that would benefit from the discussion in an open forum.

Poster proposal submissions should not be anonymized, so please make sure you include author information (name, affiliation, country) in your proposal. Posters are not considered to be a prior publication. All accepted and presented posters at ACMSE 2022 will be posted on the ACMSE conference website (they will NOT be published in the ACM Digital Library). At least one author of every accepted poster must register to attend the conference and present it during the “Poster Session”. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the ACMSE conference website.
