The VI IEEE World Engineering Education Conference (EDUNINE2022) will be held in IBERO-AMERICA from March 13 to 16, 2022. EDUNINE2022 will be a Smart Distributed Conference, multi-city and hybrid, with parallel online and on-site sessions at the cities/countries of Latin America that hosted previous editions of EDUNINE, Spain and Portugal linked to each other using currently available technological solutions.
For those authors who wish to participate in person, we will provide several venues to improve accessibility, reduce travel distances and costs. For authors who for various reasons are unable to travel to a venue, we offer the opportunity to participate online in all conference activities. All online and face-to-face sessions will be accessible online.
Our goal is that by splitting the conference into multiple small events in different cities there will be less uncertainty and greater ability to travel to a nearby/more convenient in-person event location. This multi-hub hybrid format helps to reduce travel distances, costs, and indoor gathering for adapting to the restrictions that might still be in place due to COVID-19 safety and health regulations. At the same time, it increases the reach of the conference and the opportunities to participate. It will be an inclusive and accessible conference.
September 20, 2021: Full, WIP, and Workshop Paper Submission
November 15, 2021: Paper Acceptance Notification
December 20, 2021: Final (Camera-Ready) Paper Submission & Registration
March 13-16, 2022: Smart Distributed Conference
The IEEE World Conference on Engineering Education - EDUNINE will be held every year in a different Latin American city, for this edition, in multiple interconnected cities. It is an annual conference of the IEEE Education Society organized jointly with COPEC for Region 9 (Latin America). This conference is part of the renowned list of regional conferences of this Society that are: FIE, EDUCON, EDUNINE, and TALE.
Prospective authors are invited to submit original papers as Full Paper (6 pages), Work-in-Progress Paper (4 pages), or Workshop Proposals (2 or 6 pages). Submissions are welcome on a variety of suggested topics (see below) and others that approach the scope of Education in Engineering, Computing, and Technology. We also encourage contributions that address the unprecedented disruption caused by COVID-19 on all aspects of higher education.
All papers must be written in English which is the official language of the Conference to address a wider audience. The papers will be evaluated by peers based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability.
Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore® digital library. The languages for the presentations are English and Portuguese and Spanish, corresponding to the most spoken languages in the Latin American region. There will be no poster sessions.
In addition to the Paper Presentations, we will offer Workshops, Plenaries, Panels, and Special Sessions.
