Home to over 20 million people, Beijing, China is a city that fuses modern development and progress with old and ancient traditions. It played host to the 2008 Summer Olympic Games and is home to the world wonder, the Great Wall. In this city, there are an abundance of activities to do and attractions to see.
Try absorbing a bit of Chinese history by visiting the Forbidden City, a huge palace that served as the home of the emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat, explore the renowned Beihai Park where Chinese gardening masterpieces are displayed or the historical Zhongnanhai which now serves as the headquarters for China's government. Make sure not to miss the most popular tourist sites, most notably, Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven. For local food and shopping, walk through Wangfujing where many streets are off-limits to motor vehicles and only pedestrians are allowed.
Whatever you choose to do, just remember, in Beijing, there are unlimited possibilities!
The 32nd IASTED Asian Conference on Modelling, Identification and Control (AsiaMIC 2011) will be a major forum for international researchers and practitioners interested in all areas of modelling, simulation and identification. It will be an opportunity to present and discuss the latest research, results, and ideas in these areas.
The topics of interest to be covered by AsiaMIC 2011 include, but are not limited to:
* Biomedicine and Biomechanics Modelling
* Bond Graph Modelling
* Environmental Modelling
* Model Development
* Numerical Methods
* Statistical and Probabilistic Modelling
* Time Series Analysis
* Linear and Nonlinear Time Series Analysis
* Model Validation
* State Estimation
* Statistical Analysis
* System Identification
* Adaptive Control
* Control Theory
* Intelligent Control
* Process Control
* Real Time Systems
* Robust Control
* Stochastic Control
* Virtual Reality in Control
Submit your paper via our website at: www.iasted.org/conferences/submit-749.html. All submissions should be in Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) format.
The IASTED Secretariat must receive your paper by May 16, 2011. Receipt of paper submission will be confirmed by email.
Initial Paper Requirements

Initial paper submissions should be full papers. Papers of up to 8 pages in length are included in the conference registration fee. An extra charge will apply for every additional page for papers longer than 8 pages. Authors are responsible for having their papers checked for style and grammar before submitting to IASTED. Papers may be rejected if the language is not satisfactory.
When submitting a paper, complete the online initial paper submission form, designating an author who will attend the conference, and provide four key words to indicate the subject area of your paper. At least one of the key words must be taken from the list of topics provided under Scope, above.
Formatting instructions for initial papers are available at www.iasted.org/formatting-initial-page.html.
All papers submitted to this conference will be double-blind peer reviewed by at least two members of the International Program Committee and related technical committees. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality, significance, technical soundness, presentation, and references. The conference chair makes the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the paper.
Acceptance and Registration
Notification of acceptance will be sent via email by July 1, 2011. Final manuscripts are due by August 1, 2011. Registration and final payment are due by August 15, 2011. Late registration fees or paper submissions will result in the papers being excluded from the conference proceedings.
Only one paper of up to eight pages is included in the regular registration fee. There will be an added charge for extra pages and additional papers.
Final Paper Requirements
The final paper must be correctly formatted and submitted online at http://pdfportal.iasted.org.
