8th International Conference on Words

WORDS is a biannual conference devoted to combinatorics on words.
The 8th edition of WORDS is organized by the Czech Technical University
and Charles University in Prague, from September 12 to September 16, 2011.
The central topic of WORDS conferences is the mathematical theory of words
(i.e., finite or infinite sequences of symbols taken in a finite alphabet)
from all points of view: combinatorial, algebraic, algorithmic, as well as
its applications to physics, biology, linguistics and others.

Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract (typically 5 pages,
not exceeding 10 pages) presenting original research (i.e., the same
work has neither been published, nor is presently submitted, elsewhere)
within the scope of the conference.
For the submission please use the easychair tool (link available on the
conference web site). If for some reason you cannot use it, please
contact the chairs of the program committee.
The deadline for submission is April 15, 2011.
The conference proceedings will be published in Electronic Proceedings
of Theoretical Computer Science (http://www.eptcs.org/), archived in
Electronic Library of Mathematics (http://www.emis.de/ELibM.html)
and also distributed in the printed form to the participants at registration.
Registration and grants
The conference fee is 50 EURO, paid in cash upon arrival.
Limited support might be available for students and young researchers,
further information will be posted on the conference web site.
Submission deadline: April 15, 2011
Notification of acceptance: June 1, 2011
Final version: July 15, 2011
