The 2011 Iberoamerican Conference on Electronics Engineering and Computer Science (CIIECC'11) will be held on April 13-15, 2011, in the city of Aguascalientes, Mexico. The conference aims to bring together researchers, industry professionals, and academics working in any discipline of the electronics engineering and the computer sciences to exchange ideas and discuss solutions that contribute to the technological development of the Iberoamerican countries. To achieve this goal, we call the submission of original and high-quality papers for presentation at the conference and for publication in the proceedings of the event. Unpublished papers presenting new concepts, results, or applications in any of the following areas of interest are very welcome (the list is not exhaustive):

Computer Science:

♦ Human-Computer Interaction
♦ Software Engineering
♦ Virtual Environments

Manuscripts will be reviewed by at least two members of the TPC and will be judged on their originality, technical correctness, relevance, and quality of presentation. Submitted papers must be formatted according to the guidelines for Springer's LNCS papers, they should be written in English and be no longer than 10 pages. Submission of papers will be handled electronically via EDAS (http://edas.info//N9807). Further information on the preparation and submission of papers is available on the conference website (http://www.robotica-up.org/ciiecc2011).

The conference proceedings will be published as a volume of Research in Computing Science (ISSN 1870-4069). A selection of outstanding papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in extended form in the journal Computación y Sistemas (ISSN 1405–5546).

In addition to technical sessions, the conference will feature keynotes speeches, tutorials, panel sessions, and workshops on topics of current interest.
