To be Published by : Scrivener (Wiley International) Publishing

(The book will be published under the Wiley-Scrivener imprint and will be indexed by Scopus and offered to Web of Science.)

(Deadline: Jan 30, 2021)

Shale companies are realizing that they have a large amount of information and data and they can gain competitiveness by relevant and domain-based implementation of AI, and ML in analysis and modeling of the collected data. Data-driven analytics can be proved as a vital competitive differentiation tool in the upstream oil and the gas industry. Shale Analytics is a discipline of the state-of-the-art data driven techniques including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data mining for producing from and operating shale assets. It integrates all relevant data (well, reservoir, completion, frac job, placement, and stacking, and operation) with production history in order to model the complex physics of hydrocarbon production from shale.

Tentative list of topics

· Fundamentals of Shale Analytics

· Modeling Production Practices from Shale

· New Technologies for Shale Production Optimization
