About S.S. (PG) College
Swami Shukdevanand College was established in the year 1964 by His Holiness Swami Shukdevanand Ji Maharaj who has been an illustrious philanthropist and patron of learning. Later with the selfless services and untiring efforts of a galaxy of visionary saints the college progressed by leaps and bounds. The avowed mission of the college is to provide quality higher education to the rural youth of Humanities, Commerce, Science and Technology in particular. The college was accredited at B+ level by NAAC and now the society of the college runs four other reputed institutions including CBSE School, Intermediate College, Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya and a Law College. Today all the Institutions are attaining newer heights with the blessings of another visionary saint H.H. Swami Chinmayanad Ji Maharaj who has also been the State Home Minister in the Govt. of India.

About Shahjahanpur
Shahjahanpur is an agriculture-based district of Uttar Pradesh established in 1813. Before its creation it was a part of Bareilly district. Geographically, it is situated at 27.35 N latitude and 79.37 E longitudes. Shahjahanpur town is known as Shaheedon Ki Nagri or Town of freedom fighters as it has given birth to dedicated freedom fighters like Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqullah Khan, Thakur Roshan Singh, Premkishan Khanna, Banvari Lal, Hargovind, Indra Bhusan, Nidhipal Gupta, Jagdish and Banarasi. Shahjahnapur has been the birthplace of the pioneer Hindi playwright Bhuvneshwar, and Hindi novelist Hridayesh.

Travel and Route
Shahjahanpur is well-connected by train and bus services. It is an important railway junction of the North and is connected by rail with Lucknow, Kanpur and by bus from Farukhkhabad and Delhi via Moradabad.

The Climate
Shahjahanpur has temperature of about 35 centigrade in the month of October. It can be said that with the onset of winter, the month witnesses pink weather.

A TWO-DAY NATIONAL SEMINAR

Rights play a crucial role in the evolution of Human Life. On a broader spectrum Human Rights came in existence when Nations started preferring common good and individual rights. Recently UNO has declared ‘Fresh Water’ as human right which hints and confirms the fact that Human rights are need of the present gripping hour. Today it is indispensable on the part of a human being to bring human rights to the lime light of common man’s knowledge so that dignity of human being may be sustained and even enhanced. Keeping in view the needs of the time, the Seminar on the AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND THEIR OBSERVANCE IS HALLMARK OF GOOD POLICING is organized. The conference will cut across all the boundaries of Political thoughts and will attempt to build a merger by merging interdisciplinary streams into one and singular thought of union of theories for the sole cause of prevention, protection and Awareness of Human Rights for the Human race

Call for Research Papers
In a culturally diverse and politically democratic nation like India, it is pertinent to ponder before setting up any theory or law and then create awareness among the citizens for the observance of the same so that it may benefit one and all irrespective of any distinction or discrimination. Human Rights and their adequate observance too come within the ambit of ideal policy making issues.
The seminar on “Human Rights and their Observance is Hall Mark of Good Policing” will cover all related key issues which may tentatively be foregrounded hereunder:

Research papers should be submitted along with their abstracts to Dr. Aditya Kumar Singh by 5th Nov. 2010. The abstracts/full papers will be published in the souvenir.
The participants may also send the papers through e-mail to dradityasscollege@gmail.com.The abstract/paper should be in double space with one inch margins on all sides on A 4 size paper using Times New Roman font size of 12. The first page of the manuscript shall have only the title of the paper, name of the author/s and organization/institution, email id and contact no. The second page should have the abstract in 400 words and should conform to MLA style sheet 7th Edition. Participants may also send their paper in Hindi (font Krutidev size10).

Registration:
The delegates are requested to send the duly filled up registration form. The Department shall get back to all scholars responding to the first letter with details about acceptance, registration and other details. Participants may also avail on spot registration but please inform us in advance.

Delegate fees:
Delegates with accommodation Rs. 500 + 300= 800/-
Research Students Rs. 300/-
On the spot registration is also available.
Registration will be on first-come-first serve basis.
