The Western New York Image Processing Workshop (WNYIPW) is a venue to promote image processing research in our area and to facilitate interaction between academic researchers, industry researchers, and students. The workshop comprises a single track of oral presentations. Topics include, but are not limited to Image/Video Compression, Image/Video Forensics, Image/Video Processing, Image Formation, Image and Color Science, Medical Imaging and Analysis, Image Rendering, Printing Applications, Image Retrieval, Computer Vision, Remote Sensing, and Archival Imaging. Applications including biomedical, consumer devices, security, surveillance, document imaging, art-restoration and analysis, astronomy, and other applications. The workshop, now in its 13th year, is jointly sponsored by the Rochester chapter of the IEEE Signal Processing Society and the Rochester chapter of the Society for Imaging Science and Technology. Please see the call for papers for more details.
Authors of accepted papers will need to select one of two options: (i) Original work (to be published in an e-proceedings as an IEEE publication accessible from IEEE Xplore) - IEEE copyright transfer is required. This option allows greater access to the work, but requires that the paper contains new material (typically at least 30%) over other publications. (ii) Prior-published work (NOT to be published as e-proceedings) - no IEEE copyright transfer required. This option is useful for authors wishing to summarize their work for the Western NY community, but that work may already be published in other venues. After the paper decision, we will contact authors for their publication choice. We invite you all to consider submitting to this workshop. There will be a review process involved with ALL submissions. Workshop Registration Fees are kept to a minimum and are primarily intended to cover the costs associated with holding the workshop. General Registration: $45 Student Registration: $25 IEEE/IS&T Members: $25 IEEE/IS&T Student Members: $15 Prospective authors are invited to submit their paper (4 pages) at https://cmt2.research.microsoft.com/WNYIPW2010. In order to encourage student participation, a best student paper award will be given. Important Dates: Submission of paper (4 pages): October 1, 2010 Notification of acceptance: October 15, 2010 Submission of final paper (4 pages): October 26, 2010 |
