We are pleased to announce 1st Workshop on DevOps-SE 2021 at the 9th World Conference on Information Systems and Technologies.
=========================================================================== Call for Participation: 1st Workshop on DevOps and Software Engineering: new paradigms of continuous software development, inspection, integration and deployment DevOps-SE 2021 at 9th WorldCIST Conference (WorldCIST’2021) =========================================================================== To be held in Terceira Island, Azores, Portugal, 30-31 March to 1-2 April 2021. ================= IMPORTANT DATES ================= Submission: November 30, 2020 Notification: December 23, 2020 Final versions and conference registration: January 2, 2021 Conference: Terceira Island, Azores, Portugal, 30 - 31 March to 1 - 2 April 2021 ================= Scope ================= Traditional methods of software development cannot response to market changes and stakeholders’ needs quickly and efficiently. To address this gap, a new software movement called DevOps raised in the software industry. It consists on combining both Development (Dev) and Operations (Ops) teams to work closely to response quickly to the customers’ needs while guaranteeing their correctness and reliability. DevOps is a collection of activities and cultural principles aimed at closing the gaps that exist between development teams and operations. One of the important aspects of DevOps is eliminating silos, thus improving efficiency and focusing on continuous improvement. In traditional development methods both teams (Development and Operations) work separately following different processes, using different tools and different skills to build a software product or to address customers’ needs. This new movement, therefore, comes with several paradigms to structure and automate the software development process in order to eliminate these problems such as: continuous integration, continuous inspection, continuous delivery and continuous deployment. This workshop seeks for the latest research in the use of the DevOps process within software companies, recommendations related to its adoption, and related challenges. Also, DevOps instruction and teaching strategies in academia. ===================== Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to: •DevOps: Definition and Challenges. •DevOps Toolchains. •Software Architecture in DevOps. •Case studies of DevOps adoption. •Software Measurement in DevOps. •Agile Methodologies in DevOps. •Software Quality and DevOps. •Software Security in DevOps. •Software Requirements in DevOps. •Software Testing in DevOps. •Software Maintenance in DevOps. •Software Effort Estimation in DevOps. •Sustainability and DevOps. ================= Submissions ================= Submissions must be of one of two types: •Full paper: Finished and consolidated R&D works. These papers are assigned a 10-page limit and •Short paper: Ongoing works with relevant preliminary results open to discussion. These papers are assigned a 7-page limit. All papers will be subjected to a “double-blind review” by at least two/three members of the Program Committee of the specific workshop. The version of papers for evaluation by the Program Committee, saved in PDF format, must not include identification, e-mail and affiliation of the authors. This information must only be available in the camera-ready version of accepted papers, saved in Word or Latex format and also in PDF format. These files must be accompanied by the Consent to Publish form filled out, in a ZIP file, and uploaded at the conference management system. Full and short papers accepted and registered will be published in Proceedings by Springer, will be submitted for indexation by ISI, EI-Compendex, SCOPUS and DBLP, among others, and will be available in the SpringerLink Digital Library. The authors of the best-selected papers will be invited to extend them for publication in renowned international journals indexed by ISI, SCOPUS and DBLP (see WorldCIST conference website for more details). ================= Paper submissions should be done electronically through the following website: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=worldcistworkshops2021 ================= Workshop Organizing Committee: Juan Manuel Carrillo de Gea, University of Murcia, Spain, jmcdg1@um.es Mohamed Hosni, ENSAM, University Moulay Ismail, Morocco, hosni.mohamed1@gmail.com Joaquín Nicolás, University of Murcia, Spain, jnr@um.es Manal El Bajta, ENSIAS, University Mohammed V, Morocco, manal.elbajta@gmail.com José Luis Fernández-Alemán, University of Murcia, Spain, aleman@um.es Ali Idri, ENSIAS, University Mohammed V, Morocco, ali.idri@um5.ac.ma Félix Óscar García Rubio, University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, felix.garcia@uclm.es Ignacio Garcia Rodriguez de Guzman, University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, Ignacio.GRodriguez@uclm.es ================= PROGRAM COMMITTEE: ================= Alain Abran, ETS, Canada Ali Idri, ENSIAS, University Mohammed V, Morocco Ambrosio Toval, University of Murcia, Spain Begoña Moros Valle, University of Murcia, Spain Boriss Misnevs, Transport and Telecommunication Institute, Latvia Chrysostomos Stylios, University of Ioannina, Greece Félix Óscar García Rubio, University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain Hamza Ihizan, Oracle Labs, Casablanca, Morocco Hasan Yasar, SEI, Carnegie Mellon University, USA Ignacio Garcia Rodriguez de Guzman, University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain Joaquín Nicolás, University of Murcia, Spain José Luis Fernández-Alemán, University of Murcia, Spain José Alberto García Berná, University of Murcia, Spain Juan Manuel Carrillo de Gea, University of Murcia, Spain Manal El Bajta, ENSIAS, University Mohammed V, Morocco Mohamed Hosni, ENSAM, University Moulay Ismail, Morocco Nauman Bin Ali, Blekinge Institute of Technology, Karlskrona, Sweden Philipp Haindl, Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria Saad Yasser Chadli, EMSI Marrakech, Morocco Saulius Ragaisis, Vilnius University, Lithuania Teemu Karvonen, University of Oulu, Finland Vacius Jusas, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania Zineb Bougroun, Mohammed First University, Morocco ================= Looking forward to see you in WorldCIST Conference! |
