Call For Papers

Many challenges in BPM are attributed to the first phase of the BPM lifecycle; process discovery. Process discovery is found to be an essential part of requirements engineering in software development. Typically, process models are developed as the deliverables of this phase. Agile principles used to overcome software development problems may also be used to address challenges in process modeling projects.

Possible research directions for submissions to the workshop include, but are not restricted to:

- Analysis of relations between BPM and RE domains with an agility perspective;
- Analysis and solution of the issues related to the RE activities and techniques in the BPM lifecycle;
- Addressing challenges in BPM with agile principles and practices;
- Analysis of current BPM practices in organizations with respect to agile principles, such as case studies;
- Examination of how agile principles may change the BPM phases;
- Insights from applying agile principles in BPM projects.

Submission:
Original submissions from research and practice in the following categories are welcome:
- Full Papers, up to 12 pages
- Short Papers, up to 6 pages
- Experience Reports (case studies/ case descriptions), up to 6 pages
- Problem Statements, up to 6 pages

Papers should be formatted according to Springer’s LNCS guidelines
(http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html).
The submission address is: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=rebpmbpm17

Each submission will be peer-reviewed by at least two members of the program
committee. Based on the reviews and review scores, the organizing committee
will make a selection of papers to be accepted for publication. The workshop
proceedings are planned to be published in the Springer LNBIP series.
