Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI) is the interdisciplinary field that studies and pursues the effective uses of biomedical data, information, and knowledge for scientific inquiry, problem solving, and decision making, motivated by efforts to improve human health. Therefore, with the healthcare cost surging in almost all nations around the globe, it is critical to speed up the Biomedical and Health Informatics to improve health care with lower cost.In 2012, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (IEEE-EMBS) has launched a Special Topic Conference “IEEE-EMBS International Conferences on Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI)” with more than 330 registered attendees.
