The Business and Social Sciences School of the Universidade Europeia will promote its first international scientific conference addressing the subject of "The Future of Management". It is our goal to face the future of management considering its major functions – Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Information Systems, Operations, Quality, Research, Development, and Innovation – and the present and future changes on the scientific and technological panorama.

Among many pressing questions that require thought and, above all, dynamic and anticipated answers, communications should address the following:

1. Globalization and neo-protectionist trends: what is the future of enterprise internationalization?
2. New settings for the operating systems of organizations
3. New challenges for the Information Systems and Decision Support (SIAD)
4. What are the new opportunities and responsibilities for the future?
5. Research on Future Impacts, Development and Innovation
6. The future of finance
7. Resource and Human Development and Knowledge Stream
