Call For Papers

We would like to invite you all to join the International Social Work Congress 2016 at Hacettepe University. The congress will be held in November 21-23, 2016 in Ankara, Turkey. Hacettepe University Social Work Department is a pioneer in social work education at undergraduate, MSW and PhD levels in Turkey.

The Congress is organized with an aim to address the emerging need to explore the response of social work in local, national and international social problems. We hope to achieve this by focusing on the future of social work.

The purpose of this meeting is to bring academics, researchers, educators and practitioners to present their ideas on social work education, organization of social services, social policies, changing needs of vulnerable groups and service provisions, with a specific focus on the future of social work.

The confirmed keynote speakers are Professor Lena Dominelli and Professor Malcolm Payne from the UK and Professor Haluk Soydan from the US, who will inspire and empower all the attendees of the congress. The congress will not be possible without your participation, the collaboration with the Association of Social Workers and support of our sponsors.

We sincerely hope that you can attend the International Social Work Congress 2016 to meet and interact with colleagues from all over the world and to enjoy Turkey’s hospitality.

We are ready to welcome you.

Sunay İl, Professor, PhD (Chairperson),
Tarık Tuncay, Associate Professor, PhD (Vice-chair),
Ercüment Erbay, Associate Professor, PhD (Vice-chair)
