Land, sustainability, and water conservation are high priority matters as the language of global warming shifts from prevention to adaptation. As citizens of the world, artists, educators, toolmakers, conservators, printers, and historians our job is to collectively try to work for a better tomorrow.

The Friends of Dard Hunter is now accepting proposals for presentations and demonstrations for the upcoming conference EARTH PAPER SKY. The primary focus is to discuss models of sustainability in hand papermaking practices while expanding into new methods of research, innovation, education, and technology. Potential topics for talks, panels, and demonstrations could include various methods of papermaking, book-binding, tool making, Slow Craft, collaborative models, sustainable practices, educational strategies, and innovation through techniques and research.
