Call For Papers

(Special session in conjunction with IECON 2015)

Today’s building automation systems have reached considerable system complexity: integration of different industries, monitoring, alarming, energy management, flexible operation and many more demand new approaches to handle the integration of all of the above requirements. Methods from the domains of machine learning, inductive statistics, knowledge-based assistance systems and business intelligence can help to solve the problems. The topics in this special session include:
• Advanced control (predictive control, model-predictive control, event-based control, cooperative systems, agent-based optimization)
• Optimized building operation (simulation based optimizations, tools for assessment of optimization measures)
• Data analytics (building performance analysis, forecasting, adaptive alarming)
• User interaction and context awareness (behavior models, ambient assisted living)
• Sensor and actuator networks (wireless networks, wired networks, hybrid technologies)
• Low-power solutions (design of ultra-low power wireless sensor networks and embedded systems)
• Instrumentation for testing and analysis (novel sensor and actuator technologies)
• Fault Detection and Diagnosis (monitoring, fault detection, model-based diagnosis)
• Dependability (self-adaptation, fault tolerance, reliability, safety and security)
• Engineering and commissioning (design automation, system modeling, self organization, deployment optimization)
• Integration aspects (component-based architectures, service-oriented architecture, semantics, information modeling and ontologies, cloud computing, integration into smart grids and the Internet of Things)
• Demonstrations and field experimentation (practice and methodologies)

Submission of papers: Extended Deadline May 24, 2015
