ANNOUNCING the large-scale symposium dedicated entirely to the emerging field of verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification of computer simulations. This unique event will bring together engineers and scientists from all disciplines that use computational modeling and simulation to discuss and exchange ideas and methods for verification of codes and solutions, simulation validation, and assessment of uncertainties in mathematical models, computational solutions, and experimental data.

NEW Journal of Verification, Validation and Uncertainty Quantification: The Journal of Verification, Validation and Uncertainty Quantification disseminates original and applied research, illustrative examples, and high quality validation experiments & data from leaders in the field of VVUQ of Computation Models. The JVVUQ is cross cutting and serves an audience of engineers and scientists, maturing the field of V&V by archiving peer-reviewed works and serving as a forum for new ideas. It provides special issues featuring challenge problems, discipline specific applications, and Policy and Regulatory perspectives. A section of the journal is reserved for Review Articles as well as recent advances and events presented as Technical Briefs.

STANDARDS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEES: The ASME V&V Standards Committee and four V&V Subcommittees will also hold their meetings in the days prior to the Symposium in an effort to solicit participation and discuss additional topics for standards development with a broader community.
