Call For Papers

It is our great pleasure to announce the “3rd Belgian Symposium on Tissue Engineering (BSTE) 2015”, themed “Where technology meets biology: the next generation of tissue engineering”. This event will be held on the 19th and 20th of March of 2015, at the "Thermotechnisch Instituut", at the Arenberg Castle Park of the KU Leuven, Belgium.

This two-day symposium is open to all the international research community and it is organized by Prometheus – the division of Skeletal Tissue Engineering of the KU Leuven (http://www.kuleuven.be/prometheus).

The BSTE 2015 aims at bringing scientists worldwide together to discuss frontline research in the rapidly expanding field of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. This will be streamlined by eight plenary lectures by world renowned scientists presenting their latest findings, technological tools and opinions on a strategic plan for the development and manufacturing of Tissue Engineering (TE) products for effective tissue repair.

Additionally, this event is held to encourage initial contact and act as meeting platform to promote scientific networking and potential research collaborations at both national and international levels.

Main topics include:

Cell manipulation and micro-environments
Clinical imaging modalities for TE
Translation of developmental biology principles
Current possibilities for clinical translation
Predictive modeling to advance TE
State-of-the-art biomaterials for TE
Participants will be invited to submit a meeting abstract for poster presentation. Abstracts reporting on outstanding scientific breakthroughs will be selected for “Young Scientist Forum” sessions.

Important deadlines:

Abstract submission: 15th January 2015
Notification of acceptance: 31st January 2015
Early bird registration: 31st January 2015
Registration deadline: 19th February 2015

Looking forward to meet you here in Leuven!
