Workshop overview
The system architecture design of intelligent and trustworthy Internet of Things (IoT) systems is a challenging task since, e.g. they are often large, data driven, distributed, dynamic, evolving, and heterogeneous. The first AQ-IoT workshop aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from several areas to investigate and discuss state of the art, principles, challenges, and approaches for addressing these issues about architectures, as well as appropriate qualities and metrics.

Some topics of interest
• Architectures for Intelligent and Trustworthy IoT systems
• Quality Characteristics of Intelligent and Trustworthy IoT systems
• Metrics for assessing Intelligent and Trustworthy IoT systems
• Edge-computing, Cloud-computing, Hybrid Edge-Cloud Architectures
• Security and Privacy for Intelligent and Trustworthy IoT systems
• Trust and Scalability in Intelligent and Trustworthy IoT systems
• Interoperability and Standards Compliance within Intelligent and Trustworthy IoT systems
• AI and Explainability for Intelligent and Trustworthy IoT systems
• Human Factors in Intelligent and Trustworthy IoT systems

Submission information
Papers must be written in English and contain original material that has not been published or is currently undergoing review elsewhere. We will use EasyChair for the submission and review processes. The submission link is https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=aqiot2023
Papers should not exceed 8 double-column pages, including figures and references (and not be shorter than 4 pages). Papers not complying with these limits will not be accepted. Papers must use the new ACM article template (when using the Overleaf ACM template choose the sample-sigconf.tex file).
Papers will be peer-reviewed by at least three experts from the technical program committee following a double-blind review process (i.e., the identity of the reviewer and the authors’ names and affiliations are hidden, therefore, the submissions should be anonymised). The papers will be evaluated based on relevance, soundness, novelty, practical relevance and potential impact. Accepted papers will be listed on DBLP and published via the ACM Digital Library. Cases of plagiarism or multiple submissions will be subject to disciplinary action as per ACM rules and regulations.
The accepted papers will be published in conference companion proceedings. Moreover, selected papers will be invited to submit extended versions to a special issue in the Discover Internet of Things journal, Springer Nature (https://link.springer.com/collections/gdjfiibjjd).
