Call For Papers

The Workshop is Co-located with the 15th International Middleware Conference, Bordeaux, France, December 8-12, 2014 (http://2014.middleware-conference.org)

======================
MOTIVATION & AIM
======================

The proliferation of objects with connectivity capabilities has created unprecedented opportunities around the topic of Internet of Things. In particular, Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) erase smoothly the limit between virtual and physical worlds. While representing the enabling technology for the seamless convergence of analog and digital spaces, such systems raise challenging questions on the creation of new interactions between mobile and dynamic devices to empower future value-added services for users.

The purpose of M4CPS is to foster inspiring research that would open new track for more seamless interactions in the cyber-physical space. M4CPS is the place to explore innovative middleware solutions to enable Cyber-Physical Systems to autonomously create opportunistic interactions that would promote new services leveraging sharing of sensing, storage and computation resources.

The workshop is a forum for practitioners and researchers novel ideas to address the challenges of services discovery, dynamic devices interconnection and opportunistic resources sharing in the cyber-physical space. To that end, we seek contributions on:
- Novel, generic and dynamic Middleware solutions to seamless and opportunistic interactions
- Reactive and contextual aware dynamic Middleware
- Frameworks for easing the development of new services for CPS
- Practical algorithms and tool support for CPS management

We want this workshop to be a real place for exchange and discussions on middleware solutions. As much as possible, the presentations will be organized as 10 minutes for formal presentation, 10 minutes of demonstration and finally 10 minutes of Q&A.
We will thus favor submissions with proofs-of-concept, demonstrations and publicly available experimentations. Be ensured that papers without tools will be reviewed with the same attention.
