The Conference on International Development (CID) seeks to explore the latest ideas and innovations in international development and capture new conceptual debates, learned lessons, and best practices in the field. The question of how developmental strategies have changed – and are likely to change in the near future – are especially relevant at this moment as the United Nations is in the process of crafting its post 2015 goals and agenda and as the sector faces increasing challenges, from shrinking budgets to increasing global insecurity. The event will provide a forum for dialogue and the exchange of ideas and expertise between researchers, practitioners, and policy makers, and will expand the discourse and collaboration between the academic and policy domains.
