*Special session on Agent-Based Simulation Supporting Decision Making*
http://wic2014.mimuw.edu.pl/sites/default/files/iat_sps_simulation.pdf

The aim of the session is to show specific features and applications of the agent-based approach with regard to the decision making in simulation of activities. The agent-based approach can offer significant benefits when solving such problems, including facilitation of the problem domain description and the development of the system model, construction of flexible and extensible systems as well as solving optimisation problems specific for this field.
The scope of this special session covers but is not limited to:
• Adaptation of decision strategies to the changing state of the environment
• Solving problems in a dynamic environment
• Intelligent computational methods for optimisation problem solving
• Determination of optimal and efficient decision strategies using machine learning and data-mining methods
• Influence of autonomy and decentralisation of decision entities on the quality of solutions
• Crisis situation handling
• Innovative services

Possible application domains include:
• Logistics management
• Modelling of an enterprise/company
• Automatic intelligent negotiation between enterprises or their divisions
• Planning and scheduling for different modes of transportation
