Intensive Applied Bioinformatics Course

7 – 8 September 2013, Istanbul, Turkey

in conjunction with

International Conference on Applied Informatics for Health and Life Sciences

9 - 11 September, 2013, Istanbul, Turkey

The Intensive Applied Bioinformatics Course will cover essential bioinformatics methods and tools including genome sequence and bio-medical databases, sequence analysis, biomarker selection, micro-array and mass-spec data analysis and interpretation, next-generation genome sequencing, and clustering and classification of the post-genome data.

The participants will be able to find an opportunity during the course to practice these methods and tools by using wide-range of post-genome problems as well as to apply them in their own problems.

There will be a project competition for the participants to solve a given-problem by using the methods and tools, and present their findings on the last day of The International Conference on Applied Informatics for Health and Life Sciences. This will give the participants more chance to interact with the course tutors throughout not only the course but also the conference. Details will be announced during the course.

The course has been designed to accommodate only 20 participants. Therefore, please submit an application form along with a short statement (max 300 words) that explains why you think you should attend the course and how this course would benefit you in your current work and future carrier. Submission should be e-mailed to info@donegenetik.com.tr by 15 May 2013. Decision will be announced by 1 June 2013. Further details and application form will be made available on the website in early 2013.

Organisation of the course in conjunction with the international conference is a unique opportunity for the participants. In order for these 20 successful participants to be able to attend the conference, the organisation committee has decided to waive their conference registration fee.

Important Dates:

Deadline for sending the application form: 15 May 2013
Notification of successful applicants: 01 June 2013
Registration for the Bioinformatics Course: 07 June 2013
