The Special Session on INFORMATION AND SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES FOR INTELLIGENT POWER SYSTEMS (WISTIPS) will be held at the 24th International Conference on Information and Software Technologies (ICIST) scheduled on the 4-6 October, 2018 in Vilnius, Lithuania.


SCOPE

Many energy companies are currently operating in an increasingly competitive and deregulated environment which makes exceptionally challenging achieving of the goal of producing electrical energy of the required quality delivered at the lowest price. This stimulates development of the effective and efficient instruments which are helping to design, implement and control intelligent electrical energy systems and optimize their performance. Researchers who are working in the areas related to information and software technologies for Intelligent Power Systems (IPSs) are invited to submit papers which present already achieved experience (both good results and bad results are equally important to know in order to learn), work in progress as well as challenging ideas which are related to the general topic of this Workshop.


TOPICS

Authors are invited to submit full papers describing original research work associated with Information and Software Technologies for Intelligent Power Systems (IPSs) related problems in areas including, but not limited to:
- Use of Formal Methods and CADs in Design of IPSs
- Advanced Software Development Methods and Tools for IPSs
- Information Systems for IPSs
- Decision Support Systems for IPSs
- Modelling and Simulation for IPSs
- Artificial Intelligence Techniques for IPSs


SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

Authors are invited to submit their papers in English through the conference submission system. Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously. All papers will be peer-reviewed the ICIST 2018 Program Committee and judged with respect to their quality, originality, and relevance. For further details, please consult the conference web pages.


PUBLICATION

All accepted papers will appear in the ICIST Conference Proceedings Volume (published by Springer as a part of CCIS series) and indexed by Clarivate Analytics Web of Science.
