SPECIAL SESSION ON BRAIN-COMPUTER INTERFACES
SEVENTH COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING CONFERENCE, 24TH – 25TH SEPTEMBER 2015, UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX CALL FOR PAPERS http://ceec.uk/ceec15/special-sessions/bci/ IMPORTANT DATES ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Paper Submission deadline: 30th June 2015 (extended) * Notification of acceptance: 30th July 2015 * Camera-ready Manuscript: 17th August 2015 * Registration deadline: 21st August 2015 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) provide a means of communication for severely paralysed people. Recent trends in BCI include interfaces for augmenting human capabilities, collaborative BCI and BCI in games. Moreover, BCI provide a window to information that can be used to study the brain from a psycho-physiological point of view, which makes them a very useful tool in addition to its multiple applications. This special session aims at gathering not only leading researchers, but also young investigators as well as practitioners in this field who research applications of Brain-Computer Interfaces. Researchers are hereby invited to submit a full paper (5-6 pages) detailing their research or a short paper (max 4 pages), which describes their work-in-progress. All submitted papers will be subject to peer reviewing by at least two reviewers for technical merit, significance and relevance to the topics. Further information is available from the CEEC 2015 website http://www.ceec.uk. Submission implies the willingness of at least one author per paper to register, attend the conference and present the paper. Papers submitted to this special session are eligible to be awarded with a CEEC Best Paper Award on the Special Session on Brain-Computer Interfaces. Proceedings will be published on IEEE Xplore. Authors of selected articles will be invited to submit an extended version to a Special Issue of the Computers journal (http://www.mdpi.com/journal/computers/special_issues/ceec2015). This special session welcomes submissions on (but not limited to) the following topics: ▪ Neuroscience ▪ Human-Computer Interaction ▪ Brain-Computer Interfaces ▪ Brain-Machine Interfaces ▪ Neural Prostheses ▪ Neural Engineering ▪ BCI in Games ▪ Cognitive Engineering and Science ▪ Neurorehabilitation ▪ Neuromodulation ▪ Neuro-Robotics Please find more information at the CEEC 2015 webpage: http://ceec.uk/ceec15/special-sessions/bci/ |
