Submissions
---------------
Please submit your proposals (at most 5 pages, in pdf) via e-mail to the Workshops Chair, K. Selcuk Candan (candan@asu.edu). As a potential workshop organizer, please consider the following points while you prepare your proposal:

Workshops will share the conference venue with the EDBT/ICDT 2014 conference. EDBT/ICDT workshops will run on March 29, 2014, directly after the main conference. Workshops can last either 1/2 or 1 day. Workshop attendees are required to register to the joint conference event. Attendance at workshops is included in the registration fee.

Workshops will benefit from the EDBT/ICDT 2014 organizational infrastructure and receive administrative support (registration, badges, refreshments, hotel booking, etc.). We expect you to work with the EDBT/ICDT 2014 local organizers on the details and publicity aspects of your accepted workshop. There will be a joint ACM Proceedings volume covering all EDBT 2014 workshops. Therefore, by submitting a workshop proposal, organizers commit to implement a rigorous review process with
- a notification of acceptance date of (no later than) January 31st 2014 and
- a deadline for camera ready papers of (no later than) February 21st 2014.
Your proposal should contain the following pertinent information:
- A brief description of the workshop, including the workshop's name and topic, and a short summary of the technical issues in the focus of the workshop. A sketch of the workshop's Call for Papers will be helpful.
- Names, affiliations, e-mail addresses, and brief bios of the workshop organizers. Please mark the primary contact person.
- Preferred workshop duration, format, and an estimate of the number of expected participants. While it is understood that a full day workshop may have 1-2 keynotes or invited presentations, workshop programs that are dominantly based on invited presentations are not encouraged.
- Length of submissions and camera ready papers (prefered length: 7-8 pages for technical contributions, 1-2 pages for keynote abstracts),
- Short information on previous editions of the workshop series (if applicable), including
- conference it was co-located with,
- number of attendants,
- number of submissions,
- number of accepted/invited papers,
- length of camera ready papers, and
- any other information you feel is relevant.
- Information on the workshop program committee (if already available) with at least 30% of the prospective committee members already commited.

Based on the input you provide, the decision about the acceptance or rejection of your proposal as a co-located workshop will be made by the EDBT/ICDT 2014 General, Program, and Workshop Chairs.
