Workshops for the ANIMUSIC 12th Scientific and Artistic International Meeting for Sound, Musical Instruments and Art Studies

We are offering a Workshop about the Rabab reconstruction and performance (medieval) by Prof. Dr. Thilo Hirsch, from the University of Bern, and a Workshop on Jazz and improvisation, by Prof. Dario Doronzo and Prof. Livio Minafra.
Besides, there will be a hands-on workshop for making small wooden idiophones (traditional) and an experience with "Earth Vibrations" by artist Michelle Atherton.

We welcome suggestions for more curious and interesting hands-on experiences. As examples, it may be an acoustic experimentation, or sensor art (dance with the wave-length, for instance), or on how to make circular-breathing for the performance of certain instruments (as we had at our Congress back in 2013). Please write to us about the type of workshop that you propose to offer, the materials provided by you or needed in Madeira for its realization, the duration, the maximum number of participants per Workshop, and what kind of equipment might be provided or needed.
