International Conference on Soft Computing MENDEL 2012
-------------------------------------------------------

Evolutionary Computation, Soft Computing, Computational Intelligence, Artificial Inteligence, Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Bayesian Methods, Fractals, Simulation, Robotics, Intelligent Systems, Image Processing...

Nature-inspired computing is one of the most important tools for complex systems solving and problems evaluation. Some of the recent methods are Evolutionary Algorithms, Neural networks, Differential Evolution, Swarm Intelligence, Scatter Search, Genetic Algorithms, Self-Organizing Migrating Algorithm, Fuzzy logic, Fractals, etc.

Other techniques, such as Genetic Programming / Grammatical Evolution or similar techniques, are widely used today in order to get elegant solutions of complex systems in reasonable time. Examples of such systems can be seen in ordinary world around us and of course in almost every science discipline, including such “exotic” domains as the earth’s atmosphere, turbulent fluids, economies (exchange rate and stock markets), population growth, physics (control of plasma) and chemistry for example.

Brno, the workplace of the "Father of Genetics" and the conference organizers, is very pleased to offer a conference platform on modern engineering using the principles of heredity. The International Conference on Soft Computing MENDEL 2012 organizers wish to create a base for a theoretical and practical exchange of knowledge of artificial evolution theories. Theoretical papers that relate to the conference topic are welcome, as are any practical results and knowledge from the field of computational intelligence.
