========================================================================

MexIHC is Mexico's premier forum for researchers and practitioners to present advances in human computer interaction. MexIHC 2012 is the fourth Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, organized by the Mexican ACM SIGCHI chapter (CHI-México) in a biennial format alternating with the Latin American Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (CLIHC). MexIHC aims to be a forum of networking and ideas exchange among students and researchers, faculty and practitioners, institutions and interest groups, students, and practitioners in the field of Human-Computer Interaction and Interactive Systems Usability, in order to support an exchange of scientific results, and their applications in industry.

This year, the event is jointly organized by the HCI community of Mexico and Spain, giving place to the 1st joint conference MexIHC/Interaccion 2012 [http://www.interaccionmexihc2012.org/], which is mainly aimed at strengthening links between both communities. Conferences will take place simultaneously and maintaining their own identities. The Mexican Conference MexIHC 2012 will be held in the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), Mexico City and the International Conference Interaccion 2012 will be held in the Miguel Hernandez University of Elche, Spain.
Papers will be blind peer-reviewed by members of the MexIHC 2012 program committee (TBC). Submissions will be evaluated based on their originality, significance of the contribution to the field, technical correctness, and presentation.
