Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
On this year’s XP conference we will hold the first workshop on large scale experiments through coding contests. Setting up “traditional large” experiments with 40+ participants to get empirical data for an agile researcher’s thesis can be very hard to accomplish. Coding contests on the other hand attract a lot of programmers, so it’s easy to get a high number of participants (100+) for your experiment. One just has to enforce the necessary rules before and during the contest and you can get valid, usable data which can be analyzed by researchers worldwide.
We encourage agile researchers or practitioners to present a case study or an experience report of large scale experiments. Suggested topics of interest include, but are not restricted to: • Goal Definition • Planning and Setup • Study Processes • Data collection • Data analysis methods We will select three papers to be presented (15-20 minutes) during the workshop; more papers can be shared with the participants in advance to foster a lively and diverse discussion. The papers have to be in English using the Springer LNBIP, or similar style. Please submit PDF files (with a limit of 10 pages) on https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=lsexp2012 or send it to to lsexp2012@easychair.org. The deadlines are: • Submission due: April 7, 2012 • Notification of acceptance: April 21, 2012 • Final manuscripts due: May 11, 2012 For more information please look visit http://www.catalysts.cc/lse-12 |
