=============== Third International Workshop on Services for Large Scale Distributed Systems (SeDiS-2013) September 9 - 11, 2013, Xian, China, http://sedis.hpc.pub.ro To be held in conjunction with: The 4-th International Conference on Emerging Intelligent Data and Web Technologies (EIDWT-2013), http://voyager.ce.fit.ac.jp/conf/eidwt/2013/ Scope ===== The third edition of the International Workshop on the Service for Large Scale Distributed Systems, SeDiS-2013 is dedicated to the dissemination and evaluation of original contributions to the architectures, techniques, protocols, components, orchestration, choreography and development related to the Service for Large Scale Distributed Systems (LSDS) with special emphasis on Cloud, Grid, P2P and Web-based systems. The purpose of the workshop is to provide an open forum for researchers from academia and industry to present, discuss, and exchange ideas, results, and expertise in the area of electronic services for large scale distributed systems. The workshop also aims at stimulating synergies between Cloud, Grid, P2P, Web-based and Sensor Network System developer communities. Topics of interest ================== The focus of this workshop is on new architectures, methods, techniques, protocols, components and tools related to the Services for Large Scale Distributed System. These may include, but are not limited to the following topics: * Service Oriented Computing * Theory and Principle of Service Sciences * Service System Design, Operations, and Management * Service Oriented Middleware * Dependability and Web Services * Mobile Computing and Business Models * Quality of Service * Workflow management * Management of high data volumes * Data storage and retrieval * Fault-tolerance and replication * Service systems performance analysis * Performance evaluation and prediction * Self-organized distributed systems * Adaptable Web Services * Confidentiality, integrity, trust, anonymity in LSDS * Trust and Web Services * Intrusion detection and prevention, spam detection * Service Experiential Studies and Case Studies * LSDS Service development tools * LSDS Service environments and platforms Important Dates =============== * Submission Deadline: 30 April 2013 * Notification of acceptance: 30 May 2013 * Author Registration: 30 June 2013 * Final Manuscript: 30 June 2013 * Workshop Dates: 9-11 September 2013 Submission Guidelines ===================== Authors are invited to submit research and application papers following the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced, including figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines at the IEEE formatting web page. * http://www.computer.org/portal/site/cscps/ We solicit the submission of academic workshop papers (6 pages) representing original, previously unpublished work. Submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. Papers should be prepared as the .pdf files and submitted electronically to the EIDWT 2013 online submission system (The workshop title should be selected).
