OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE

The objectives of ISEC 2014 Doctoral Symposium is to provide a forum for PhD students (middle or advanced stages) to present their research proposal and discuss their work with other PhD Scholars (similar stages and working in the broad area of Software Engineering) and researchers participating in the symposium. The forum provides an opportunity for the PhD student to receive useful feedback and guidance (questions, fresh perspectives, future research directions) on their research from the symposium attendees. Attending ISEC main conference and doctoral symposium will also help the doctoral student in building contacts/network with people from Software Engineering research community.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS AND AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Paper (must be in English) should be submitted electronically through Easychair in PDF format. Page limit for the paper is 6 pages in ACM proceedings format (ACM SIG guidelines: http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html). The format is the same as ISEC main conference format and guidelines.

Link to Easychair submission: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=isec2014doctoralcons. The paper should cover the following points:

· Research motivation and aim
· Problem definition, Specific research questions
· Literature survey, related work
· Research methodology and framework, Design of experiments
· Proposed solution approach
· Expected research contributions and novelty
