Objectives of FQAS2027:
* Fostering a key shift from managing uncertainty and imprecision in databases and
information systems to today’s multimodal, generative, and trustworthy AI challenges.
* Bringing together researchers working on artificial intelligence, human–computer interaction, information retrieval, databases, and related topics.
* Presenting and discussing theoretical and applied-research problems,
as well as fostering research collaborations.

Topics:
Query answering systems of the future will not just answer questions; they will act as cognitive companions.
Standing at the intersection of databases, knowledge representation,
and modern generative AI systems, they will be capable of understanding multimodal inputs,
integrating diverse knowledge sources, and generating trustworthy insights.

FQAS 2027 invites researchers to propose thematic special sessions on:
Emerging Trends
Such a type of special session has the goal of attracting papers on
emerging/novel research topics, providing researchers with the opportunity
to present their novel research works in an international forum.
Applied Research
A special session focused on a topic where theoretical results are practically
applied to the real world is welcome and encouraged. This way, practitioners
and researchers have the opportunity to meet and discuss further developments
Industrial Applications
Query answering solutions and LLMs are (or should be) heavily exploited in
the industrial world. This type of special session aims at letting industrial applications
emerge and be disseminated to the research community.

Special Session Proposal submission

Researchers who wish to propose a special session should send a proposal to the
conference email address fqas2027@unibg.it by November 15, 2026.

The proposal should contain the following details:

topics
description
organizer(s)
proposed colleagues to involve in the review process

Once accepted, special session organizers are expected to promote the special session
among their colleagues. Papers submitted to a special session will follow the regular
review process and will be published in the conference proceedings.
