The 17th International Conference on Management of Data (COMAD 2011) will be held during December 19-21, 2011 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. COMAD 2011?s scope includes all areas in the data management space including Database Management Systems, Web and Information Retrieval, and Data Mining. Submission of original research contributions as well as proposals for demonstrations, tutorials, industrial presentations, and panels are invited.

This year?s program will have a special ?Work in Progress? track designed as a forum for presenting ongoing work and getting feedback. The accepted submissions in this track will be presented as posters. Only the abstracts of the submissions will be included in the proceedings of the conference. This will not preclude the authors from submitting the full version of their paper to another conference.

* Mining multi-media, graph, spatio-temporal and semi-structured data

* High performance and parallel/distributed data mining
* Mining tera-/peta-scale data

To ensure wide visibility for the material published at the conference, arrangements will be made with ACM SIGMOD for including the proceedings of the conference in the SIGMOD on-line archives. Two awards, for Best Paper and Best Student Paper, will be presented at the conference.
