The Knowledge Technology (KT) Research Group of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is pleased to announce the The International Conference on Semantic Technology and Information Retrieval (STAIR’11) which will be held from 27 - 29 June 2011 in Kuala Lumpur.

STAIR’11 aims to bring together researchers, academicians, scientist and professionals to exchange new ideas and latest achievements in the areas of knowledge technology. The conference draws on several research areas, such as Knowledge Management System, Information and Knowledge Extraction, Information Retrieval, Digital Library and Records Management, and Semantic Computing.

Prospective authors are invited to submit their draft paper (between 5 to 8 pages, standard 2 column IEEE format). The submission of a paper implies that the paper is original and has not been submitted under review or copyright protected by the author. Please refer Topics for details. The language of the conference is English. The proceedings of the conference will be published in the IEEE Xplore (approval pending). For the time being, all papers should be submitted electronically to stair11@ftsm.ukm.my

The format of both the initial submissions and the final accepted papers must be in PDF. All submitted papers will be refereed by experts in the respective fields according to the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and clarity. The refereed Proceedings of STAIR’11 under an ISBN reference will include all papers accepted for the conference.
