The Postcolonial Literature and Culture session invites submissions that explore postcolonial literature, art, film, or culture. We specifically welcome papers aligned with the conference theme, “Our Ruling Classes: Culture, Power, Conflict,” although the session is open to any projects engaging with postcolonial texts.

Potential areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

•     The global shift in postcolonial literature and culture

•     World literature and postcolonial studies

•     Transnational and translational boundaries in postcolonial literature and culture

•     Exploration of postcolonial discourse and critical race theory

•     Examination of sexuality, queer theory, and disability studies in postcolonial literature

•     Approaches to teaching and reading postcolonial literature and culture
