The International Linguistic Society is delighted to invite you to participate in the International Thematic Conference on Language Disorders Research and Applications, Language Disorders 2026, to be held online from 26-28 August 2026.
The main aim of the conference is to advance key areas of language disorders, welcoming at the same time innovative approaches to related research and applications. The Language Disorders 2026 conference envisions a vibrant platform for collaboration and dialogue between established researchers, research groups, and emerging scholars in an integrated context. This unique gathering will foster an enriching environment of knowledge exchange, collaboration, and inspiration. Keynote lectures will be delivered by distinguished scholars across various fields of language disorders, presenting new perspectives and expanding the horizons of language study and applications. Bonnie Nozari - Carnegie Mellon University Stefano F. Cappa - IUSS School for Advanced Studies, Pavia & IRCCS Istituto Auxologico, Milan, Italy Conference Themes and Scope Language disorders 2026 will feature diverse and pioneering work in various areas of language education, including but not limited to: Core areas: pronunciation, orthography, vocabulary, grammar, written language, spoken language Thematic areas: phonetics and pronunciation, phonology, morphology and vocabulary, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, text and discourse Interdisciplinary areas: language acquisition, psycholinguistics, language learning, language teaching, language curricula Applied areas: language disorders methodologies, language disorders technologies, language education and language disorders AI and language education: segmental and orthographic processing, text-to-speech conversions, morphological treatment, lexicography, automatic translation Accepted abstracts will be published as expanded 4-page conference papers in the Linguistic Proceedings Series. We warmly invite researchers and research groups engaged in any area of language disorders and related applications to submit one-page abstracts for consideration at the Language Disorders 2026 conference. |
