This is a Special Session of the 6th IEEE International Conference on ICT Solutions for e-Health (ICTS4eHealth 2026), Algarve, Portugal, June 23–26, 2026, titled “AI-Based Motion Analysis and Extended Reality for Telemedicine and Rehabilitation (AIMAXR‑TR)”.

The AIMAXR‑TR Special Session aims to bring together researchers, clinicians, and practitioners working at the intersection of AI-based motion analysis, extended reality (VR/AR/MR), and digital health to design next-generation telemedicine and rehabilitation solutions. We welcome original research, case studies, and applied contributions addressing both methodological advances and real-world clinical applications.

AI-based motion analysis for telemedicine and rehabilitation

Markerless motion capture, pose estimation, depth and inertial sensing, and multimodal sensor fusion

XR systems and serious games for telerehabilitation and technology-enhanced rehabilitation

Automated motor assessment, outcome prediction, and clinical decision support

Telerobotics, XR telepresence and tele-mentoring in clinical practice

Evaluation studies, usability, and real-world deployments of AI/XR solutions in healthcare
