ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Philosophical Counselor is an international peer-reviewed journal fostering dialogue between philosophy, mental health, and the biomedical sciences. We publish original scholarship exploring theoretical and practical intersections of philosophical inquiry and clinical practice.

SCOPE
We welcome contributions in:

Philosophical Practice & Applied Ethics: Methodologies and applications of philosophical counseling and consultation
Philosophy of Psychotherapy: Critical examinations of therapeutic models and their philosophical foundations
Phenomenology of Psychopathology & Philosophy of Health: Lived experience of mental distress and investigations of health, illness, and well-being
Biomedical Humanities: Philosophical, ethical, and cultural perspectives in healthcare
Metaphilosophy: The nature and boundaries of philosophy in practical applications

We also encourage submissions in philosophical theology, phenomenology, religious studies, philosophical anthropology, bioethics, neuroethics, philosophy of mind and medicine, narrative medicine, medical humanities, existential psychology, social philosophy, philosophy of disability, philosophy for children, and philosophy of care.
