Dear colleagues,
We have the great pleasure to announce that the International Conference 21st Days of Applied Psychology “Psychology in focus: Insights, Trends, and Transformations” organized by the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Niš (Ćirila i Metodija 2, Niš, Serbia) will be held on September 25th and 26th, 2026. As in previous years, the conference will be held in a hybrid format. Participants will be able to attend lectures and sessions online, via video conferencing software, as well as in person, on the premises of the Faculty of Philosophy. In this way, we will be able to use all the advantages of direct contact and keep the positive sides of online conferences, which we discovered in previous years. Those being: wider international cooperation and greater availability of the conference program to researchers geographically distant from Serbia. Traditionally, the Days of Applied Psychology conference attracts participants from across the globe, with representatives from around 40 countries in the past years. We want this conference to be a place where researchers from different parts of the world will connect through the presentation of their research and discussion of current topics in their field of interest. With this goal in mind, a unique Collaboration Hub session will be organized, where researchers will have the opportunity to present their projects, whose achievement requires expanding the network of collaborators beyond the borders of their country. If you are looking for collaborators for your project or would like to cooperate with other researchers on their projects, you are in the right place. Having in mind that science cannot work without practice, and that our practice is likewise strengthened when it is grounded in scientific developments, we wish to emphasize this essential two-way connection and to renew the dialogue between research and its practical implementation. Your participation as a practitioner is highly valued, as your experience brings depth and relevance to the scientific perspectives presented. We believe that meaningful progress emerges when theory and practice meet, and we hope to once again welcome practitioners whose expertise keeps our discussions grounded and impactful. We are committed to creating a space where scientific developments align with practical needs, and we warmly encourage you to join us and share your insights. The planned forms of participation will be: keynote lecture, symposium, oral presentation, poster presentation, round table discussion, workshop, skill class, and book promotion. Keynote lectures will be conducted in both in-person and online formats. Participation in the form of a poster presentation will be possible only in person, on the premises of the Faculty of Philosophy, while all other forms of participation will be organized in a hybrid format. The official languages of the conference are English and Serbian (i.e., the BCSM language area). Abstracts and presentations should be prepared in English. Sessions composed exclusively of participants from the BCSM language area may be conducted in their native language, as may a few specialized workshops (skill classes) offered in Serbian. In all other cases, English will be official the working language. The deadline for applications is June 1st, 2026. Abstracts should be between 200 and 300 words in length and submitted using the registration form on our website - Abstract Submission (https://dap.filfak.ni.ac.rs/e-forms/abstract-submission). All abstracts will undergo a review process, and authors will be notified of the acceptance of their abstract(s). One author may participate in the Conference with up to two papers, but only once as the first author. Accepted abstracts will be published in the online book of abstracts. After the conference, full text versions of presented papers will be published in a Journal Godišnjak za psihologiju (ISSN 1451-5407) in 2027 and 2028, after a review process. Full papers can be submitted from October 1st, 2026, onwards, following the journal’s submission timeline. Full-text papers are to be written in English.
