** Conference Overview
The goal of the Eighteenth International Workshop on Automatic Performance Tuning (iWAPT2026)is to bring together researchers who are investigating automated techniques for constructing and/or adapting algorithms and software for high-performance on modern complex machine architectures. iWAPT is collocated with the 40th IEEE International Parallel & Distributed Processing Symposium (IPDPS) in New Orleans, LA, USA. ** Topics of Interest We are particularly interested in autotuning and its relationship to the following topic areas, among others. This year we added new topics at the intersection of HPC, AI, Quantum and Energy consumption for auto-tuning: - Use of Generative AI for autotuning - Autotuning with quantum computing technology - Machine-adaptive algorithms - Automatic program generation - Performance analysis and modeling - Adaptive numerical algorithms and libraries - Multi- and manycore systems, heterogeneous architectures challenges - Compilation strategies(e.g. iterative and empirical compilers) - Programming models - Runtime systems - Empirical search heuristics - Power- and/or energy-aware computing - Hyper-parameter tuning for machine learning ** Paper Submissions Paper Submission Guidelines Submitted manuscripts may not exceed ten (10) single-spaced double-column pages using 10-point size font on 8.5x11 inch pages (IEEE conference style), including figures, tables, and references. The IEEE conference style templates for MS Word, LaTeX, and Overleaf provided by IEEE eXpress Conference Publishing are available for download. ** Important Dates - Paper submission starts: October 6, 2025 - Paper submission closes: January 16, 2026 (AoE) - Notification of acceptance: February 24, 2026 - Camera ready papers: March 23, 2026 ** Contact: Please reach out to the organizers for any questions: - Chair: William F Godoy godoywf@ornl.gov - Vice-chair: Takeshi Fukaya fukaya@iic.hokudai.ac.jp |
